a long road it is

ahhh it's been a while since I've posted here, so I figured it would be about time. Life has been alright, I finally feel like I'm getting into the groove of things, even though every week is different. I feel like I probably know around 90% of my class now, which is awesome. There are still 17 people I probably don't know. I'm really enjoying med school though, most of the stuff we learn is relatively interesting, and I find that I can usually stay awake during most classes (as opposed to CS when I always fell asleep.. ask john). maybe the caffeine is helping. having honors/pass/fail classes are also kind of nice. I haven't honored anything yet, but I don't really mind. I study until I feel like I know the material well, and then go from there. There are much better things to do with my time than waste an extra 10+ hours trying to get honors. diminishing returns.. it kinda sucks, but oh well, there are still a few classes left in this semester.

We just started a nutrition class, and we had to keep a diet journal. I didn't really need that to tell me I have a relatively bad diet. It isn't as bad as I thought, but I can definitely use some more vegetables in my diet. I'll work on that, I've been trying to eat some salad every now and then, but I need to find a good way to incorporate vegetables into my daily food.

not much else to report. congrats to my brother for making it past the first round of CalSO interviews... he had his second interview already, and will find out if he gets the position soon. I'm 99.9% sure he will get it... he's an engineer... and he's my brother! I'll have to call them up if he doesn't get the job. and since I feel like I'm wasting precious sleep time, I'm going to leave things here. I'll be going to texas next week for thanksgiving, that should be awesome. good food and family is always a good thing. especially since I haven't had much of a break from school since it started.

halloween was great

it was a lot of fun, and there were a lot of great costumes out there. here's a picture of me and some friends...

yeah, that's me from geek squad, standing next to the Tauheed, the ipod shadow guy, Diana the um... safari go-er, and Louis the yellow m&m who spent all night looking for a green m&m. =D

There are more pics on facebook I believe.. and other people have lots of pictures that might not be posted.
